An amazing & authentic step back in time!

An undiscovered gem right here in Troy! The buildings and the grounds are exceptional restorations of actual historical buildings from around the Troy area! The staff are very knowledgeable and great with the kids! A very fun day for the entire family and provided a wonderful learning opportunity! Kudos to Troy for assembling and maintaining this gem!

    Excellent wedding venue!
We had our wedding here and couldn't have been more pleased. The staff was excellent, the facilities are amazing, and the let our guests tour the village before and after the ceremony as well. They are extremely accommodating and I highly recommend them for weddings, or just to visit to explore the village.

    Nice historic community of buildings
There are seven buildings in this little community, all more than 150 years old. And all an important part of the very early years of Troy. The small cluster is grouped very near the Troy Historic Museum, an imposing private home turned exhibition space. The footprint of the community reminded me of the Whitefish Point Coast Guard property in Michigan's UP. All the buildings are maintained in a pristine condition. The community allows visitors a glance into life lived typically in the 1830s to 1850s. Among the buildings open to tour are a Parsonage, school, blacksmith shop, and general store. The museum itself has a nice gift shop, along with period artifacts. The community is open to visitors Tuesday through Thursday, only; from 10 AM to 3 PM.
