Great weekend getaway.......
My wife and I spent last weekend at Treetops. Very nice stay, things were clean, service was solid and the setting is perfect. Don't expect 5 star but still very nice. We will definitely go again. Things can be slow, check in, everyone at once.....deal with it!

Unfortunate experience for the Wilderness Sleigh Ride Dinner
Stayed at Treetop Resort for winter activities and the Wilderness Sleigh Ride Dinner. When you read the brochure for the Wilderness Sleigh Ride Dinner an enjoyable romantic evening automatically fills your thoughts. What could be more romantic than hot chocolate and fire before a horse drawn sleigh ride to the remote cabin for a marvelous dinner? Unfortunately, the actual experience is not quite like the brochure. What is not disclosed is that there are two groups scheduled for the evening. The first group leaves the resort and after a very brief stay at the fire take the sleigh ride to the cabin for dinner. The dinner, which would have been very good if served hot, is delayed for over an hour while waiting for the second group. However, there is the one complimentary drink with a cash bar while waiting and waiting. Since there is a sizable cost for this lukewarm dinner, perhaps one might consider taking a sleigh ride offered from one of the close farms at a reasonable cost and afterwards have dinner at one of the better restaurants in Gaylord.
