Michigan’s piece of paradise
Have been coming to torch lake since I was a child and recently visited to celebrate my 40TH birthday.. By far the most beautiful lake in Michigan! The only downside is unless you have or rent a boat it is difficult to experience the lake in full as there are limited areas for access.. would definitely recommend renting a boat and going to the famous sandbar! Water is crystal clear and amazing hues of turquoise and blues, definitely Michigan’s hidden pice of paradise!

Crystal Clear Lake
We were in Torch Lake few days ago. We went to the Torch Lake Township where they have a small beach area, basketball court and kids’ playground. The beach itself is not sandy but among the lakes we visited in this trip, no doubt, Torch Lake has the clearest crystal water! If you are going for a swim, I suggest to wear acqua shoes because the rounded stones can sometimes hurt your feet. We visited Elk Rapids Sandbar first which is just about 13 min drive prior to visiting Torch Lake. So if you are going for the beach and go for a swim, the Elk Rapids Sandbar is way much better, because its sandy and no stones. Near the beach is kids playground, tennis court and basketball court too. One can go fishing near the beach too!
