The Monet Garden of Muskegon, Michigan, United States

5.0 (17 reviews) Spent < 1 hour Ranking #14 in Muskegon County Gardens

Très beau

The Monet Garden is a lovely pocket garden in the downtown Muskegon area. It is a miniature copy of the real Monet Garden in Giverny, France. Features of the garden include a pebbled walkway to a pond with a blue bridge and blue rose covered archways. All flowers and shrubs planted in the garden are the same ones in the real Monet Garden.

A beautiful way to start the day in Muskegon!!
Preparing for a daytrip to Muskegon, I was pleasantly surprised to learn of the Monet Garden. Just a year ago, we were in Giverny at Monet's House and Garden, so our visit to this garden brought back some beautiful memories. Love the garden arch and the Japanese bridge and water lily pond!! So beautiful!! And all the flowers! The hibiscus were stunning! And so many colors!! It was a great way to start our day in Muskegon.

    Symphony for the senses.
We noticed this little garden while we were on our way to the Arts Museum , we decided to visit it afterwards, boy we were in for a treat .It was a symphony for the senses. The garden is actually small , but the combination of native plants and roses, lilies, zinnias and more is exquisite , I don't know if it was just that particular day , or it happens often but different fragrances were emanating from the plants, and we could hear rock music from the Lakefront music venue , a multitude of butterflies were flying around. We spent half hour there, we were rewarded with a symphony for the senses.
