The First Universalist Church, Michigan, United States

5.0 (3 reviews) Spent Ranking #4 in Concord Religious Sites

A beautifully restored church

The First Universalist Church is part of the Hubbard Memorial Museum Foundation. The Church is used several times a year for holiday programs, Christmas, St. Patricks Day, etc. An historical marker outside the church gives it's history. The programs are very nice and use local people.

    My Little Church!
This church has such meaning to me. My grandmother Mary Patterson was a member and so was my father and myself. I was actually baptized in that church. My dad played the organ and toward the end helped with the upkeep... omg, the roof and the furnace... everything seemed to go at once. We had family socials in the back... so many fond memories. I still have a little chair from the kids room there in my house in Arizona.

Attended this church in the 1970s
My father was the pastor of this church in the 1970s. If I remember correctly the organist for awhile was Mr. Jacobs and when he retired I was the pianist for awhile. My first intro to what are now deemed "new thought" churches.
