    Fantastic Overview of Marquette
We hiked to the top of Sugarloaf Mountain and the views were fantastic! We can spend hours just seating and looking at either Lake Superior or the different colors of the trees just starting to change for the Fall. We took the difficult trail, and easy trail down. I would recommend the easy trail for older or families with very young children. Otherwise, challenge yourself on the difficult trail. You'll be proud of yourself once you get to the Top.

    Beat the fog!
The top of the mountain is a bird's eye view of Lake Superior. We hiked to the top just in time to get 2-3 pics before the fog rolled in so thick visibility went to about 100 yards. I felt bad for the people who got to the top behind us. It's definitely a good idea to check the weather ahead of time to ensure a good view. The steep parts of the walk/hike are handled with stairs but because they are steep and numerous (and sometimes a tiny bit slick), I highly recommend secure shoes with some tread (in other words, I don't recommend flip flops).
