Interesting museum
National park pass required though no one asked to see it. Beautiful views, of the lake. Interesting boat house with life boats and very knowledgeable volunteer answering questions. The Maritime Museum has good displays and interesting artifacts. There are two floors. The film about the life saving drills was interesting. Restrooms are on site. We spent about a hour here.

Excellent Museum
This museum had a lot of history to absorb as you walk through. We were fortunate enough to be there when they fire the Lyle Gun which was used to rescue people from ships when they couldn't get boats out to rescue them. This is a stop worth making to learn about these amazing men who put their lives on the line to rescue others.

GLEN HAVEN BEACH!!
While we do enjoy the things that the museum has to offer, this review is more to make people aware of the awesome beach here. I can't find any other place to review it, so I am putting it here. At the end of the road near the museum and the old cannery, there is a small parking lot with a boardwalk to the beach. Although the water is cold, it really is a great beach! The sand is soft and fun to play in and we all just had a really great time spending the afternoon. We didn't know about this beach last time we came, so we were not prepared to swim. But this year, we brought swimsuits, all the sand toys and a picnic lunch. We had a great time, so if you are coming to this area and have some time to spare, be sure to spend some time of this beautiful beach!
