    Lots of fun!!!
I’ve wanted to try dog sledding for several years and this year things finally worked out. I was SO MUCH FUN!!! Gina and Tim were so welcoming… made me feel like I was a family member who had come for a visit. They had a toasty fire in the fire pit and hot chocolate (complete with marshmallows) and cookies waiting. We learned a bit about the background of dog sledding, heard about their experiences (they also had a board up with pictures and stories), and got to see the process of getting the team ready to run. They were very professional, so warm and so welcoming, made me feel totally at ease with the idea of being pulled about by a group of powerful sled dogs. I was surprised when I was asked if I wanted to drive the sled… I almost declined but he gave me the confidence to try. Im so glad I decided to go for it! It is amazing how fast you travel; the dogs are so agile, seemingly effortlessly working their way around the trail. The scenery is so beautiful! If you get a chance to try dog sledding, bundle up and go for it!! You won’t regret it!!!
