Saint Mary's Church in Morrice dates it past back to 1874. This Catholic church was started with the purchase of the Antrim Schoolhouse which was dedicated as a church. In 1892 a church was built and in 1926 the mission became a parish. The church burned down in 1953 and was razed in 1962. The present church was built in 1953. A State of Michigan historical marker tells the rest of the story.
