Fall in Downtown Rockford, Michigan
If you are planning on a trip to Rockford, Michigan do not miss out the quaint downtown area by the Riverwalk, particularly during the fall. The colors were absolutely beautiful and although there were people walking around, it was so peaceful. Sit and have a cup of coffee while watching local fly fishermen. The downtown area has several local shops and restaurants with tastes for all. If it's too late for that cup of coffee, stop in and have a cold local brew. People are friendly everywhere. Downtown features a candy store that covers candy past and present, or if you are hungry for ice cream, they have that too. Or if you are looking for a unique toy, stop in at the local toy store. I hope my next visit will be during the holidays.

A Pretty Local Spot!
A very pretty spot to hang out with a significant other, friends, or your kids. I’m local to this area and have been to the dam often. It’s loud, so you can’t hear other people talk when you’re right by it, but you can easily enjoy it from a distance as well. Take a walk on the nearby boardwalk as well!

Lovely scenic quiet
A great place to watch the turtles leap the rapids and bask in the sun. Children love it, ice cream and goodies nearby. Great day trip for the little ones and strollers with nearby shops for mommy to browse.
