Affordable way to see the Muskegon River
For the past several years we have rented kayaks from River Rat and have been very pleased with their service. The owner has always accommodated our fairly large group that comprises our rambunctious family. River Rat has canoes, single and tandem kayaks as well as tubes. The equipment is well maintained and it has been a genuine pleasure watching the business grow. A short, 15 minute ride took us to the Bridgeman launch which has a wonderfu newl kayak launcher. The best part is leaving the river where your car is parked. Highly recommended for large or small groups.

Don't waste your time
Had a 1pm reservation called and spoke to them at 11am switching from tubing to kayak they said it would be no problem. Got there at 12:40pm no one was there building empty but doors open. Porta potties were filled to top and no toilet paper. Waited 20 min then another family showed up. Another 20 mins go by and a girl gets dropped off who works there, asks if we have reservations we said yes she goes looking for owner can't find him says he should be back soon. Another 20 mins goes by and we decided to leave. He never showed up. Wouldn't waste your time trying to come here
