Wonderful children's nature learning spot
Raven Hill Discovery Center's mission is to provide a place that enhances hands-on & lifelong learning for all ages by connecting science, history and the arts. Raven Hill is the only place in northern Lower Michigan where children and adults can link science, history & the arts with hands-on activities and explorations both inside and out. Connections emerge thru exhibits, facilities & programs that provide opportunities for all ages to learn, create, grow & play. Since 1991, individuals have experienced the strands of science & technology, history & the arts interwoven through Raven Hill. Facilities include the Main Museum, Fiber Studio, Print Shop, Wood Shop, Metal Shop; School House, Energy House & the Evolving Technology (ET) Building. On Raven Hill's 175 acres, outdoor exhibits range from the Watershed Model; Medicinal Gardens; Music Garden; Beyond Jurassic Park walkway; Tree House; Taxi Trail; Pond; Open Space with Viewing Platform on Deer Creek and the Ancient World.

makes kids smarter
A fantastic learning experience! Obviously a labor of love by a well educated owner. Lots to do, see, and learn. We were the only ones there, so we got a personal tour and were able to feed turtles and a pirhana. Outdoor and indoor activies. Indoor was like a children's hands on science museum, outside was a nature walk with lots of learning and exhibits. I was disappointed more people were not taking advantage of this hidden gem in the middle of nowhere. I would recommend for kids ages 5-15

Hidden Gem
The Raven Hill Discovery Center is way out in the countryside, hard to find without a GPS device. However, it is well worth finding. The Center provides fascinating exhibits about our past, educational and fascinating for both adults and children. Be sure to check the Center's website for hours of operation and admission fees.
