Done Nothing But Improve Since 1997
I've been coming to this zoo my entire life and it has done nothing but get better and have better facilities. The ONLY reason that it's a 4-star zoo is that if you are a non-resident, it's $14 for an adult ticket and there isn't many animals out at the moment. It's maybe a two hour excursion maximum, although nice. Sometimes parking is free, sometime they have fun events! Definitely worth the visit.

Fun for all
Potter Park Zoo is small but well organized and a great afternoon outing for young children, without being too tiring. My granddaughter enjoyed the little train ride, although it was $3 for 3 small circles that went nowhere, so wouldn't necessarily do that again. The petting zoo, and Reptile bldg is great. Plus there's a baby rhinocerous, tigers, and lions to see close up! The winter festival of lights was also enjoyed by all.
