Lovely local historic center
I love visiting local historic centers and museums simply because it is amazing what you can find in them and the dedicated people who keep them open and running. There was a quilt show going on and there were some stunning works of art. Behind some of those were displays of a beautiful 1943 wedding dress, information about the great fire, photos of old high school graduating classes in the 1930s, etc. Quick drive out of Port Austin with a nice setting.

Great Quilt Show
Stopped in while passing through on vacation in the area. I was fortunate to have been able to attend the quilt show. Very impressive! They were beautiful. The organizers work hard developing this museum by collecting objects, adding buildings, landscaping, holding special events and taking great care of everything. It's obviously a community effort that they proudly support.
