Beautiful lighthouse, fantastic history
On our tour of Lake Huron lighthouses, stopped to see this one. The lighthouse had a small museum that was a few dollars and TOTALLY worth it. Steve gave a great history lesson of the Lake, wrecks, and lighthouse. While you could not go up into the light, the artifacts and literature were fantastic. Steve is a wealth of knowledge and fun to talk to!

Beautiful Lighthouse
Located on a bluff, overlooking Lake Huron is this beautiful working lighthouse. The museum provides great historical information, artifacts both inside and out and a great gift shop. The grounds are well cared for and include new benches to enjoy the view. There is a picnic area and even camping available. Anyone visiting the thumb area should put this on their list if things to do.

Four stars for the lighthouse, the rest drags it down.
Great lighthouse experience, right on the shore of Lake Huron. Several small buildings to see and tour, great place for a picnic! We didn't care for the campground, the full hook up area looked very well lived in. No trees, and not much of a chance of getting a lakeside spot, some of the campers look like they have been there a LONG time. The spots are tight, no privacy at all.
