Historical Walk
What a very cool way to learn about the past in a community - - take a hike through the historical cemetery. It is a beautiful place - - visually, near the shores of Lake Michigan - - huge, old trees, plenty of white tail deer - - watch the local calendar because you can sometimes find interpretive walks with a local expert.

Time for peace and recollection...
This cemetery is still growing and offers a peaceful respite for time with ancestors ... if you know where to find them. We were fortunate to have an older member of the family with us who could pinpoint the various grave locations, but without her it would be nice to find a register which could pinpoint the graves requested. Or one has to be lucky to find one of the older workers. The cemetery looked well maintained for memorial day and otherwise easy to navigate... as long as you know where to go.

Interesting historical cemetery
I visit a lot of cemeteries, so my critique is based on many comparisons. A medium size cemetery with many turn-of-the-century headstones, so limited in the styles due to early 1900's burial. Slight elevation changes, drives are paved and unpaved gravel. Several tombs and an old cannon. Many ledger stones. Did not contain large stones I expected it might have. Visited Jan. 1, 2023
