Nice stop

Interesting museum out in the middle of nowhere. They have done a very nice job with this place and it doesn't take long to go through it so it will be a quick stop. I enjoyed it for the most part.

Hmmm, not sure what to do with this place...........disappointing
We have enjoyed watch Michigan Magazine on Saturday mornings (or afternoons, depending on your local station). So when I heard that there was a museum in an area we were visiting, I was anxious to give it a visit. However, I still haven't figured out what there is to see. It is a beautiful log building in a meadow. There is a kitchen, a fireplace, restrooms and an extremely small gift shop. The gift shop had some children's books that were nice to see and some adult/tourism books, some outdated. There are several items on display in the museum, but I couldn't figure out what they were/where they came from/who made them/how the museum came about receiving them. By watching the show, I assume they were given to the museum by the people the show, showcases. No one seemed interested in helping us, explaining anything to us, as they were visiting others who were involved in a Civil War encampment that had been taking place on the grounds. I am sure the show is filmed in this building, but that is it, as far as I could tell! Disappointed, for sure.

    Big Foot Convention
Just for the fun of it, we thought that we would go to the Big Foot convention there this summer. We went to where it was located the previous summer, and nothing at all was going on there. Maybe we went to the wrong location, but, how would we find it. Now the place said that it was the Skyline Convention Center, or something like that. I used to like watching the TV show, when we lived in Michigan, so I thought that we'd enjoy the museum. Not sure if it is even open anymore or not.
