Margaret Stoecker Park, Michigan, United States

3.0 (3 reviews) Spent 1-2 hours Ranking #4 in Manchester Parks • Playgrounds

Excellent playground

This is a nice little park, a little hard to find, but once you find the veterans memorial you're there. We drove in for the playground, which have had to be upgraded lately. a lot of different play features scattered around the(at least) two different play areas. We easily spent a few hours, and the kids really was able to let out some steam. Very nice place.

    Beautiful Park
I visited Margaret Stoecker Park last evening with my 10 year old. The small parking lot at the entrance is next to a very nice Veteran's Memorial. If you follow the paths you will first arrive at a small playground, small pavilion, and the restroom. The restroom was very nice but only one person at a time can use it which could be an issue if there is a large group at the park. Further along the path is another, larger park with plenty of climbing features and slides for the 5 - 12 year old crowd. The park also features some very nice, paved walking paths. My only complaint is that while there seem to be benches along the paths there is no seating for parents near the play equipment. I like to sit and relax while my daughter plays and that wasn't possible unless I got out our lawn chair or sat on the grass. We arrive early evening and the first thing my daughter spotted was a fawn on the grass just past the memorial. We left at dusk and spotted a fox near the pavilion. Very fun to see wildlife both before and after playtime.
