Take your time to look back in history and the role that Manistee played.
We planned to stop in this museum and were told to leave time to really check things out. We did just that and found a lot of history, information, and photos that were fascinating. The photo albums they have are great to look through. Make this a stop on your walking tour of downtown.

An incredible collection for a small museum
If you are a history lover, this museum has been here for many decades, and their collection reflects it. Both local and general history is portrayed in a huge collection, well laid out and presented. We were lucky enough to have an older gentleman (quite informed himself) give us his personal tour. Located on the south side of the main street through downtown, most of the way past the stores.
