Ok once, wanted to go on Polar express Owosso but sold out and $$$, $20 Santa train 12/5/21

Kind of boring ride through trucking warehouses, sams club, never made it to Quincy ( 3 miles short) Neat whistle, steam 110 smoky from Tennessee . 605 comfy leather recliner, only sell out 75% of capacity. Grandkids would like, not too long, an hour. Will look through depot if not too crowded

    Steam train brings back memories.
My dad worked for the B&O Railroad in Northern Indiana for 48 years. We lived by the railroad most of my childhood. I am old enough that I saw many working steam trains before they all turned to diesel. The coal smoke smell revived many of those memories. I was happy to see many children on the train. They operate out of the old depot a couple blocks south of downtown. The ride that I took went from Coldwater to Quincy and back. By the number of people along the track that waved, I suspect locals enjoy seeing the train. This time of year just once a week, I also noticed many photographers along the way. I also thought that I would get some with the train underway at another trip.

Wasn't What it Was Supposed to Be
When I purchased tickets online back in March of 2018, nothing was stated on the website about the need for maintenance for equipment. My 86 year old mom and I took a trip from Florida to Michigan to take a walk down memory lane. My mom was born in a house in Coldwater. She was excited because when she was in elementary school, her class took the same ride to Quincy to see Snow White. Because of maintenance on some of the engines, the train did not take the full trek to Quincy. Our two hour ride became 45 minutes, straight one way and backing up the other. I was pretty disappointed. Mom seemed to have a good time which is why I gave a three star rating.
