Favorite overall

We were concluding our winery tour around Leelanau and the Old Mission Peninsula and decided to stop at Leelanau Cellars-and I'm glad we did. I have had some of their wines before found at Meijer. They offered reasonable tastings of $5 for five tastings. They had a large variety of wines to choose from, dry and sweet. They also allowed tasting of their Farm Fresh Wines and fruit wines. We fell in love with so many and ended up coming home with 6 bottles-very reasonably priced $8-24! They also had different cans of wine and bubbly fruit Moscato wine in cans to buy, which can't be found at other locations other than their winery. We did not have a reservation for tasting, but only waited less than 10 minutes to get a tasting. The service was also very quick and educational. After stopping at many wineries, this is now my favorite.

Welcoming Tasting Room and Good Wines
After lunch at Knit Just a Bar which is next door to the tasting room, we stopped in to sample the wines. Having visited wineries in Traverse City area, due to CoVid wine tasting had fees from $12.50 to $18.50 for 3 two ounce tastings. Wow! Here the choice was five tasting for free if in a disposable plastic cup or $7 for wine glass tasting which in led the glass. Very friendly staff. Their dry Riesling and Chardonnay were very good as were both dessert wines.

No tastings on patio & not really dog friendly
Visited during Harvest Days. Their Tall Ship wine is really good. We were rather upset because all the tastings were done inside. We had our 6.5 month old Border Collie with us and my hubs & I had to do the tastings separately because they wouldn’t do them outside on the patio which they said is dog friendly.
