Brand New Gym!
The Kaliseum is is located in a small town of Kalkaska. This Recreation Center is in the middle of a big renovation. They are updating and expanding their gym as well as fixing up the pool area. They have a water slide in the kid pool and they also have a lap pool. The Ice arena is also pretty fun and the kids had a blast.

Deteriorating Jewel
Here is this great little recreational spot in a small county going to ruin. The pool is a shambles, the dressing rooms horrid and the weight and training rooms are in need of updating and someone needs to clean the place. The arena is cared for but there are wires for electronics everywhere and it also needs repairs. This place could be a jewel and community hub but on a bit of questioning the locals, it appears that there is one guy running the place and he is a very profane and loud person. The locals definitely do not like the man yet he is running the place and conveniently owns or runs the Junior hockey club. And that is his main focus. How he got there and what he is doing is just a tad disorganized. The place has potential with the right leadership and community input. For now, it is a great place to avoid and go up the road to Traverse City.
