Great location!
We stayed at the Lakefront Cottage, and I highly recommend it!! I don't think we would have had as good a time in any of the other cottages. I loved being right on the water. I recommend bringing or renting a boat with it. The cottage was very clean but maybe a little too cozy for some. We had 6 people here for the week and we did fine. Again, spend the little bit extra and rent the Lakefront. Well worth the little extra money!!

Beautiful Lake
My husband and I rented the Cleveland Cottage for a week in August. The cabin is old and definitely nothing fancy but it was clean and had everything stocked that was needed including floor fans which was great because it was a really hot week. I cannot say enough nice things about Troy, the owner. He went out of his way to make our stay very enjoyable. He gave us a phone number to a local guy who would deliver a load of campfire wood to our cabin. He showed us the nearby damn where you can get in and swim or jump off into the water. He set up a fire pit on the beach area so we could have a campfire while watching the sunset and the meteor shower. We had an issue with the TV and he came immediately to help us out. The lake was absolutely beautiful. If you haven't been to Higgins Lake...please don't miss the opportunity. With this resort we had free WIFI, the use of a canoe, kayaks and a paddle boat. There were plenty of comfortable chairs along the beach area with shade. Don't forget to visit South Higgins Lake State Park, you won't be disappointed. We had a really great time! Thanks for the hospitality Troy!

Very nice
Very nice state park and beautiful view to the lake. Very good and comfertable option to swim and to picnic. Dont miss the Higgins state park.
