Very nice park, worth the time to visit

Beautiful, scenic park. Originally on land that was someone's farm. Flowers, covered bridge, small lake, baseball fields, picnic areas, Taylor Historical Society are all there & a bit more. Also a petting zoo.

    Surprising Gem
I grew up in Taylor; moved out over 30 years ago. The old farm on the corner of Northline and Pardee was replaced in 2002 by a park with several historic buildings from what the Downriver area was like 100 years ago, a pond, a small botanical gardens, and a good-sized petting zoo. The petting zoo takes about an hour if you do it right to see all the animals, feed a handful, and pet a handful. Everything is very accessible for kids; and safe. There are workers who bring out various small animals for kids to pet. The goats, of course, are always by the fence wanting food.

    Great
I have lived in Michigan for 33 years & this is by far one of my favorite places to go. This isn't just a normal small park. This place is beautiful with so many things to do. Beautiful pond with ducks, bridge across the water, water wheel, trails, animal petting farm, baseball fiels, bike trails, pavillions, old fashioned ice cream parlor, candy shop, historical buildings, wedding chapel & the list goes on. Beautiful trees especially in the fall.
