Forbush Corner Cross-Country Skiing, Michigan, United States

5.0 (8 reviews) Tuesday: Spent Ranking #2 in Crawford County Cross-country Ski Areas

Great Skiing

We came here for the first time and were very happy with our experience. The volunteers that run the check-in are very nice and helpful. We choose to do the Ridge trail and the Pancake Trail. Spent about an hour because it was our first time out this year. We will be back!

The best trails in the state.
I have skied at Forbush Corner for many years. I have found the trails there to be second to none. Dave Forbush designed the trails so that corners are easy to ski around. The difficulty of the trails varies from easy to challenging. The grooming is impeccable. Grooming machinery is state of the art and the operators know how to use it well. At the Corner I have skied with both beginners and international class skiers. Historically it has been possible to get ski lessons from an international class skier, call ahead for this service. The attraction at Forbush is well designed trails impeccably groomed. My temtation is to ski those beautiful trails longer than my body can manage, The pro shop features top of the line skis (custom fit), poles, and boots, with a chance to try before you buy. Practical, useful ski clothing is also the offered. As far as food is concerned the lunch room is self serve and/or bring your own. For an enjoyable cross country ski experience Forbush corner cannot be topped.

    Great cross country skiing
My wife and I were there on December 30. The trails were newly groomed and conditions were outstanding. Trails are marked very well and it is impossible to get lost. It is a beautiful setting and offers excellent skiing for both classic skiers and skaters. The personnel was very friendly and helpful. We can't wait to get back and ski there again. Thanks to Mr. Forbush and all of the volunteers who have made this a must destination for cross country skiers.
