    A step back in time...
Just a fun place to visit! The historic town of Leland offers a rare look at an active fishing port on Lake Michigan. Many boats coming and going...fishing nets strung out to dry...riverside markets on the docks with all the sights and sounds that accompany such hustle and bustle. Along the docks are pictures and back-stories of some of the old-timers, the fishermen who braved the big lake waters and the adventures they experienced. Very enjoyable!

    Cool place to check out
We enjoyed walking around Leland’s Fishtown. We were there on a beautiful summer weekend day so it was busy. Lots of people everywhere. We enjoyed walking around the little shops and the marina. Many charters were coming in with coolers full of lake trout. We would have enjoyed it more if it wasn’t busy but we still had fun. We got sandwiches down the Leland Cheese Shanty and some Moomers Ice Cream.
