Great place to go birdwatching.

This late in the season you can expect a few lingering waterfowl, northern harrier, shrike, possibly snowy owls. I was was not lucky with the owls today. Also saw a late season Great Blue Heron. Place to hike and an observation tower available.

Wildlife refuge - part of the Mississippi flyway for bird migration
There is a bird observation tower that looks over the land. It gives history of the Mississippi flyway and about Fish Point. It was wonderful to see so many species of ducks, geese, etc. We went on a driving caravan (our own vehicle behind officials) tour. It was 10 am to noon. They answers questions and told about the park. We got to start out with free coffee, donuts, and they even gave out free birdhouses/bird feeders. (This was a one time deal. A friend of tthe refuge gave them to us.) They showed us an eagle's nest. (We only have a cheap pair of binoculars. They had upclose spotting scopes to look through. Great chance to see more.) We drove up through Sebewaing along the Saginaw Bay Shore. We saw Tundra Swan, Canda Geese, lots of different kinds of ducks, Sandhill Cranes, etc. We ended our tour at (I believe it is at) 10965 Geiger Road, Sebewaing, MI 48759. Lots of places to view the wildlife. We also walked by ourselves after the tour down Ringle Road and saw lots of birds there. Such a wonderful way to welcome in the spring with the migration of birds.

Great duck hunting and derr hunting!
The duck hunting is great at Fish Point thousands of ducks fly over while you hunt. They do a doe hunt to reduce damage to the duck habitat I love to hunt out there for that.
