Illusionist room is a moderate level.
Went here for a birthday event. There’s no other rooms until 9pm tonight. We had and hour and 20 minutes to kill still. They have hour and half hour rooms. We had the hour room. We did a session in the illusionist room. We had to wait outside and call to have someone let us in. Everyone in the party has to be present to come inside. They make everyone use sanitizer and take everyones temperature. Xavier is our guide tonight. It’s a multi room event. TV shows time left and for clues. White call box by the door is for any questions with Xavier. Video explains mission. We were able to break the Lucy box lock pretty quickly by guessing the numbers by feel. It’s all about playing around the walls, tables or whatever until a door opens something for additional clues. We ran around all over the first room looking for clues. We were able to get into the second room after some 15-20 minutes or so. Took us the rest of the time to find all of the clues to unlock the rest of the boxes in the first room as well as the second room to unlock the second room to get out. The room is a moderate level. We were told we could have gone to the next level since we finished it rather quickly and didn’t need any clues at all. Helped to think outside of the box. It was a decent 37+ minute session.

    Did 3...fun except...
We had Ashton for all 3 games and let me start off by saying Ashton was a great gamemaster. The rooms were well done, the puzzles made sense and flowed okay. Ashton was quick to give clues when we asked. A few minor flaws that were frustrating - we had to wait 15 minutes to use our first clue. There was one game where we just stood around for 10 min bc we were stuck and couldn't ask until 15 minutes. That was frustrating. One game had a color puzzle and the room had UV lights. We struggled for a long time bc the colors were hard to differentiate in the lighting. We asked for a clue and the clue told us what we were doing. It just didn't help bc the colors were hard to tell. After about 15/20 min on this one puzzle, were were aggravated and asked for additional help. The GM said they could come in with a flashlight to help us see the colors. By that time were were over it. Finally got it but wasted ao much time. Once the GM came in we asked them about that phzzle and Ashton said "Yea when I played ot took me 45 minutes to complete that. I had teoublewith the colors too. That's why I offered to come in with a flashlight." We were told a lot of groups struggle with the colors. A puzzles shouldnt be faulted on the basis of the colors arent obvious. If "a lot" of groups have that issue, then change it. We played 3 in one day; we travelled from Indiana to do 6 games at 2 locations. I would recommend this facility despite the frustrations.
