Charming Public Library Housed in Historic Home overlooking Grand Traverse Bay
Year round and seasonal and casual visitors will love this one of a kind library. Housed in a historic building over looking east grand traverse bay on one side and a picturesque white painted bridge on the other, this library sits in what was once a the home of a prominent village resident who owned one of the early town industries. The library has a charming children's room, and a lovely windowed reading room on a porch with latticed windows overlooking the marina area. There are activities for all ages and an on going used book sale in the library basement.

Quaint library
Very small and quaint. Need to make an appointment currently due to covid. You can request a book on line and pick it up. Currently time in the library is very limited but I look forward to exploring it more thoroughly once it is open.

Beautiful space, chilly personality
Beautiful space to investigate if you're checking out the town. The room that looks out over the harbor is particularly nice. I was kind of surprised that the staff was pretty standoffish. We're visiting from out of town and 3 of the 4 places I visited in Elk Rapids are not what I'd consider to be friendly and welcoming.
