Nice little park

You want a nice quite spot to hang out and let the kids play? This is the place. Nice view of the river and boats coming and going.

    My Grandfather's Park
This park is a great place to fish, picnic, with a playground for the kiddos, or put your boat in the water with access to Saginaw Bay. Spend an hour or two watching the sunset, watching river traffic, or just relaxing on a bench. It is easily accessed by foot, bike, car, or boat. Recent renovations and continuing plans for the park, only add to this neighborhood gem. Smith Park off the end of Burns Street in Essexville, is in the city's heart near tennis/basketball courts, convenience stores, a gas station, bakery, and near by shopping centers in Bay City. I have spent countless hours here and visit on a regular basis as park of my bike rides or walks through town.

    A Place of Beauty
A Place of Beauty Always something of beauty to be found here, no matter the time of year. Right along the Saginaw River is a special location for those seeking respite from life's worries and trouble, no matter the rationalizations that caused them. It is a pretty safe place for contemplation and reflection as the boats of various types float by at a Small's pace, allowing you more than enough time to be open and honest with the world; or let others do it for you. Just beware of Jackwess's. There is a playground and boat launch near by.
