Three 9hole courses!

Will have to go back again when it warms up a little more. The course is really nice and challenging you can play any of the three courses Hills, Marsh, or Jungle. Not that bad of a drive for a quick morning round of golf. The staff was all friendly and they have all brand new carts.

    Deer Everywhere
This is the location of three great 9-hole courses. During this visit, “The Jungle” course was played. For individuals experiencing this course for the first time, it is strongly recommended to know the layout of most of the holes. The tee number signs near each tee box have great hole illustrations. In ground yardage markers are found in all of the Copper (back) tee boxes…quite useful in planning accurate tee shots. Do not be deceived by the shorter yardage of some holes. This is a course that will truly test anyone’s game. While playing the holes, a few homes were seen near the 2nd green and one behind the Copper (back) tee of the 6th hole. Otherwise, there was no other development. Some long rides through densely wooded areas give this course a somewhat northern feel, and deer were frequently encountered. Sandhill Cranes were seen at Hole #2. The condition of the greens and fairways was very good. Staff members handled the check in process very proficiently. Below is a review of some holes: Hole #1 A decent drive is required to reach the fairway. Approximately 150 yards from the green, a wetland flanking the left side and woods to the right keep this fairway tight all the way to the putting surface. Hole #5 This is a par 3 which is all carry and with very little room for errors…either on the left or right sides. The only safe place here is the large green, which is fronted by a steep bank of long grass. Precision in shot making is compulsory. Hole #6 This hole is not very long, but from all of the tee boxes it requires a straight drive and precise calculation of distance. The green is not seen until the last portion of the fairway. This is one hole that will be remembered…vividly. Hole #8 The ideal tee shot will be well past the line of tall trees (with high branches) on the right side of the hill. After the trees, the fairway is manageable. However, use caution as the green is approached. The major drawbacks of Copper Hills is that the pro shop is in a trailer-like structure and there is no proper restaurant. However, this course is definitely worth the drive.

    Could be the BEST
Copper Hills could be one of the BEST is So. Eastern Michigan , it is a very changeling course has a very nice layout , hilly , not for the average golfer , I have taken friends here they hack the place up lose 10-15 balls , the greens are very nice. The course needs some TLC and the owners need some $$$ , this course needs a 1. Club House , 2. Fertilizer the fairways , 3. Sand in the bunkers , 4. Clean the swamps - can get foul and funky. 5. Parking lot. If I hit the Lotto I would love to buy Copper Hills.
