Contessa Wine Cellars Tasting Room, Michigan, United States

4.5 (83 reviews) Monday: 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM Spent Ranking #2 in Berrien County Wineries & Vineyards

Great couple getaway spot.

Tony Peterson the owner is always such a great host! We have been driving across state to get their wines for a few years now after "Discovering" them on a trip to Warren Dunes. We usually purchase a case of wine each visit as they are not available anywhere else in the state. We have enjoyed each flavor we have tried and this time we stocked up on their cherry wine, which was better than any of the Traverse City cherry wines we have had. A glass of wine on the porch in the summer is the closest you can get to being in as Italian vineyard ! Keep up the great work!

    Wine Lover
Decided to try this winery along with other attractions in this area (chocolate shops, orchard). The view from the tasting room is beautiful and the wines were very good. We bought a bottle each of Dolce Vita and Blueberry. We each tried seven of the wines (all good) and the tasting fee is waived when you buy a bottle of wine. The wine is reasonably priced and I was enjoying the pleasant taste all the way home! We also visited the Chocolate Garden and want to come back when the cider mill nearby is open.

    Stunning views!
I've been to Contessa twice - Once when it was nice out and we could sit outside and take in the pretty views and then a second time when it was colder. When you are limited to the indoors it's not as great. Wine is good, however the indoor area isn't anything spectacular. Much better when you can enjoy the porch.
