A beautiful and versatile backdrop in the heart of Downtown Traverse City, City Opera House is the definition of spectacular. Affectionately known as “The Grand Old” Lady, this regional treasure opened in 1892. Today only seven of these historic Victorian structures are open statewide. The magnificently-restored City Opera House is open daily M - F, 10am-5pm for self-guided tours.

Nice venue
This is a nice venue to see a show/comic and even a movie. You get a pretty up close view of live performances. Seating is not super comfy but doable. Cash bar and easy exit to Front Street

Wonderful facility with great acoustics
Steven Page (formerly of Barenaked Ladies) put on a spectacular show. Sound level was perfect and the intimacy of the theatre adds to the performance. Even though it is an older building, the washroom facilities have been updated to avoid the usual lineups at break times.
