A favorite

We recently did some wine tastings on the Leelenau Peninsula and this was one of our favorites! Tasting area is in the back, overlooking some of the vineyard. They give you a small sample of 10 wines. They have all kinds, for all tastes. We ended up buying 3 bottles plus the spice mix for the yummy cheese dip that is served about 2/3 through your tasting. Our sommelier was friendly & helpful. She mentioned she went to MSU & was trained as a wildlife biologist. We both highly recommend this winery. It was definitely one of our favorites.

    Great wine tasting experience.
The wine tasting experience has changed dramatically since covid - we really used to enjoy standing at the bar inside but, now you sit at a table and a server brings the tastings. Most wineries charge quite a bit for a few tastes but, this place lets you sample what you want. We had a great server, purchased some wine and joined their wine club. Way to may wineries in the TC area are focused on selling flights or catering to the bus loads of wedding parties that just want to get drunk - these people don't buy bottles of wine! We are now very selective about which wineries we visit. If you are one of the GDFing Chicago tourists, please don't come here - this is for people that like wine, service and unpretentious surroundings.

    Great
This was another recommendation by the proprietor of the B&B we stayed. All the tastings were outside given the pandemic. They made it work very well. We shared a table with 2 other people so we didn't have to wait for 2 separate two seat tables to open up. For that they gave us an extra discount on our wine purchase which was great! The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. She listened to our likes/dislikes and steered us to things they thought we would like. We left with 6 bottles of wine and a jar of the cheese ball mix.
