    A quality winery
We have been visiting this winery for many years. We found on this trip that it had been extensively remodeled and we like the changes. We were treated in a warm and friendly manner and enjoyed talking to the owner. Wine tasting has changed from the days when you could belly up to the bar and sample the wines free of charge and learn about the wines as you tasted. It's not as nice now but I understand why the change to charging has happened. We chose not to sample but left with several bottles. We will visit again on our next trip to the area.

    Winery with a view
My wife and I stopped at Bel Lago while checking out some wineries on the Leelanau Peninsula. The view of Lake Leelanau was very nice. It wasn’t busy while at the winery. The wine tasting room is under construction so we had to sit outside. We would have liked to sit outside anyways. They were not doing tastings, only fill glasses. So we picked out a couple and relaxed. There were no food options available. We enjoyed the laid back feel.
