Fabulous 40th Birthday

We had a wonderful time on our sunset flight on August 9, 2022! Our captain, Bill, was experienced and friendly. The landing was so smooth! Our chase team was skilled and fun, and even offered recommendations of where to eat in the area. The champagne toast at the end is a wonderful tradition and we loved learning the history about it. The crew make safety their number one priority, so we did need to reschedule one time due to winds. This is to be expected when booking a hot air balloon ride. The staff was really helpful in rescheduling, and it was totally worthwhile! We would love to take another balloon ride with Balloon Quest in the future.

Best Thrilling Experience in my life
My sister & I went on our first balloon ride. It took several attempts with the weather being a big factor but once we did it was AMAZING! From start to finish it was by far the most exciting thing I've done to date. The evening was perfect for "floating" above the beautiful scenery below. I defintely would recommend a flight!

Good experience, some things to keep in mind
The ride itself was very nice. Perfect weather, the staff does some corny/fun things to add to the experience, very smooth takeoff and landing. As others have noted, expect to reschedule several times as they take that seriously, and wear a hat as there is a good bit of heat from the burners. They do not enforce/follow mask guidelines, though to be fair the other party on our trip did not want to wear masks, and I think they would have adhered if we would have pushed. (We decided to let it go to avoid a fuss.) People will vary in their opinions on whether this is a good or bad thing, so just something to ask about before you schedule. The pilot got a little antsy when my friend was taking pictures of the setup, as they were missing a clip for one of the ropes ("Oh, are you taking that for your lawyers?") but I don't think there was any real safety concern. The pilot (Eric) was knowledgeable and pointed out interesting sights along the way. We would have preferred he spend less time grousing about other passengers, "fake news", etc and focused on the positive aspects of the trip, but other reviews indicate a more positive experience so maybe he was just having a bad day. The other staff/volunteers were all quite nice, the office/restroom was older but clean and well-kept, and the champagne/juice toast and the certificates, pen, and pin are a fun touch and give you some souvenirs to take away. Overall a good experience that I would recommend with the above caveats in mind.
