Perfect waterside retreat
We normally vacation by the Atlantic ocean, but came to the Michigan dunes area for a quieter, less populous waterside experience during plague times. The Arcadia dunes surpassed our expectations. We found an isolated stretch of beach with fine sand, gorgeous stones ripe for collecting, crystal clear fresh water - refreshingly cool, but not cold. The beach was strewn with bleached white driftwood we were able to fashion into a cozy retreat from the sun. The charming town of Frankfort is just 20 minutes away - a great location.

Easy hike, beautiful trails!
This is a beautiful Trail that is very well-kept and easy to navigate. The wooden walkways, benches along the way and borderline Boulder lined trails are Beautiful. It’s a great way to gently explore northern Michigan and make family memories!
