A good visit to the zoo!
I’m not very keen on zoos but this one is an exception. Set under trees, which is ideal on a hot day, it is easy to navigate round especially for anyone with wheelchairs. Walkways flat and easy to walk on! No grit or stones getting in your flip flops!! All the animals are well cared for in lovely enclosures. Most animals easily visible for children to see, if the animals want to be! Food outlets nicely camouflaged and kept really clean with rubbish easily disposed of. To make the most of the facility there is a train, overhead sky tour and a zip wire all at extra cost which are not a necessity and therefore a saving on the visit. As it’s a large area it didn’t seem crowded and the grandchildren loved the visit even though they had been before!

    We had a GREAT time!
We spent the whole day there. One of the nicest zoos we have ever seen. The entire place was spotless, both the public areas and the animals' enclosures. All of the staff seem to enjoy their jobs. Even the guy driving a cart full of yak poop noticed us and asked us how we were doing, and the college kids were very friendly and polite. They all wished us a good rest of our day and seemed to mean it. The animals all seemed relaxed and well cared for and had plenty of room. Take the skyride and you will see some hidden areas where animals have even more room, and places to move away from the public if so inclined. The food at the deli was a perfect lunch and didn't weigh us down. The docents in the red shirts love to share their knowledge of the animals or just have a chat - take advantage! Despite the parking lot being crowded, the zoo has a great capacity to swallow people and dissipate crowds. A very enjoyable day!
