A place to retreat
Sugar Grove Nature Center is a beautiful, remote place to pause the speedy wheel of time and reflect upon the things that matter. It is situated in the middle of Funk's Grove, a place laden with wildlife, winged creatures, and flora galore. Be sure to bring a camera.

Fun nature center
Many trails, throughout the grove compete with a outdoor playland that includes a tire screen. Trails are easily navigated. Has a great interactive museum on premises and lots of activities throughout the year!

Nice, easy walking trails
We came out here on a weekday, and there were definitely people around, but it wasn't too crowded. We first stopped in to the visitor center/building they have there, and I talked with a super friendly and helpful ranger. We started out hiking/walking over in the nature preserve area that winds through the woods and passes by the outdoor wedding area. This part of the hike was lovely, totally shaded, and very flat/easy. We also hiked some grass trails back by the visitor center. These were busier; some parts were shady, some sunny. A few very gentle rolling slopes, but nothing too difficult. We did not go to the Imagination Grove part, but the majority of people with kids headed that way. We found a picnic table under a tree to have lunch. It was a nice way to spend half a day.
