Weekend getaway

This is the place if you just wanna get out of the busy stressful week. No cell signals no worries no tv or radio unless u want to bring one . We stayed in the cabin inside the park and u can do a lot of activities everyday with your friends and family. It’s good for kids as well lots of activities they can do and it’s nice for everybody to be disconnected with gadgets and internet ♥️. The cabin is fully furnished with kitchen so u can just bring your own groceries. They have a restaurant inside the park as well or if u wanna drive 10 miles outside the park they have fast foods and local restaurants. It’s inexpensive to rent a cabin during off peak . I highly recommend this place and for sure we’ll come back.♥️

    Free museum on forestry
We stumbled on this museum while stopping to pay for parking at Beaver’s Bend state park. We weren’t expecting it to be as big as it was. Really neat art displays and lots of information on forestry. They have a wood turners demonstration on Saturdays. We enjoyed walking through it prior to heading out to hike the trails of the park. Bonus was that it’s free.

    Nice museum
We are on a road trip and left Atoka, OK on our way to Hot Springs, AR. We wanted something to do and found this museum. It is located in Beaver Bend State Park. It is free! The museum is mostly placards of information. There is a section of carved wood and they are absolutely beautiful! On Saturday and Sunday, there is a wood carving demonstration. Call for times. We purchased a beautiful bowl from him. Roger Tipton. There is a 100 year old log house outside you can walk in and check out. We spent about 2 hours in the museum.
