Educational, interesting, and free.
If you are a history buff head on down to this center. Very educational, tells many stories, and if you are a tourist that enjoys the historicle side of things then this is the place for you. My wife brought me here and I actually enjoyed it, lol. Great place.

The place to learn local history.
Stopped by on a Wednesday afternoon. The woman who was there was very friendly and helpful. She put on several videos and even brought out some books for me to look at.

McAllen Heritage Center
Quick in and out ... nice displays, but seemed crowded. Easy access but parking can be a problem. There is parking across the street and on the street; but, Main Street in McAllen at the corner of Main and Hackberry is a major intersection and the light is often short-timed.
