A unique and nostalgic experience as always
Good place to catch some independent films. I like it too for its uniqueness...sure it's a bit funky, long stairway down to restrooms near entrance but there are several on first floor too. Friendly down to earth staff. The building is old but unique as mentioned, it won't be there forever, which makes me appreciate it all the more. I've been going there for a long time especially to see some of the non mainstream movies they often have.

Classic theater vibe
BE ADVISED THIS IS A CASH-ONLY THEATER!!!!! ALSO BE ADVISED THERE IS NO ON-SITE PARKING. YOU HAVE TO PARK EITHER ACROSS THE STREET OR DOWN THE STREET. Luckily, if you're like me and didn't know that, there's a bank at the end of the street with an ATM! Found tickets to be a little on the pricey side, but the concessions seemed reasonably priced. Only 6 theaters in the building, and the seats are very large and comfy.

the best of movies in the worst of theatres
This is my neighborhood theatre which has a wonderful movie selection but the theatre itself is in awful condition. While I go several times a month and have learned to accept it, I made the mistake of bringing guests on New Years and they were appalled. The price is the same as theatres that have clean carpets and comfortable seats but there has been almost no upgrading in 30 years. I am not a fan of reclining and dining in but would like to be comfortable. My average rating reflect a 5 for movie selection and a 0 for ambiance.
