Beautiful lake in the heart of Springfield, ma 7 miles of shore line. people can go fishing or canoeing. The are is border by Springfield college who uses the lake for their athletic program. There seats and a good amount of side walk around the lake.

Great Historical Land Mark!
During the Fall Season, The Watershops Pond is a beautiful back drop for taking pictures. The neighborhoods surrounding the Pond are also beautiful...

Oh the memories of my youth.
For 64 years, I lived on Pennsylvania Avenue whose northern end stopped across the street from Watershops Pond. I spent many happy summers hiking through the trails that circles the pond. Then, in 2011, a tornado ripped through Springfield, crossing Pennsylvania Avenue and moving through the woods at Watershops Pond. In an instant, everything changed and Watershops Pond was not the same. I live out west in Indiana now, but the memories of my youth in Springfield remain with me to this day.
