Very Helpful!

I had to send a big package to Florida for my Grandchildren for Xmas recently, and the men in the Post Office actually "made" me a box, that I could use for shipping. I loaded my items, and using the label they provided, shipped my box! So helpful!

    Normal post office
I don't really understand why a post office is on here, but here it is. It's a post office. Yes, you are going to wait in line. Yes, sometimes that wait is longer than we want, but aren't all post offices like that? Get here early - I did and did not wait long at all. I always found the staff helpful and accommodating -- especially when I was shipping boxes overseas. The trouble is that parking around this area (The Green) can sometimes be hard if it's a busy time of day. The building itself is beautiful. I love the old look of it and appreciate the architecture...they really knew how to build things back then!

Great place to meet homeless people
We thought our family vacation was a bust when my wallet got stolen at the local pizza joint(it was a meh), but when we saw a congregation of street dwellers within the old Taunton Post Office, I new our prayers were answered! You can tell by the smell that this building has seen alot of historical events being talked about by bored citizens of the Silver City. When we walked in, we were greeted by a number of grimy men and women seeking shelter from the winter's chill and local law enforcement, all of which were very welcoming and unique in their demeanor(one had this imaginary friend called Satan who was really into the democratic party. He even gave me some of his chewing tobacco). It was a fascinating experience, emersing oneself in the culture of an often overlooked societal group. I'll definately come back when they're done fixing the roads. Highly reccomend!
