Great day trip!
One of Massachusetts' hidden gems. Great place to visit with so many things to see and do for a small town - fishing, boating, awesome children's playground and park, free museum, fantastic restaurants and cute shops. Of course, the Falls themselves are a cool sight to see too. Just a day trip is all you need, but definitely a fun stop.

Hometown
Turners Falls has seen its hay day and its very bad years. Happy to see that its trying very hard to come back. It was an incredible vibrant town in the 70's. Eccentric, trendy, the hippie capital of New England. Cool time to grow up there.

Fascinating discovery
We discovered this town by accident and really enjoyed our visit. The Falls themselves are very impressive and can be easily viewed from the sidewalk which goes across the bridge. The flow of water at the time of our visit was quite small, but it was still very impressive. The nearby Discovery Center is definitely worth a visit.
