Nice Historic Resturant

nice historic property. Stopped in for a lunch. The menu was simple. Not a whole lot of choices but each of our party had different items and each complimented on their item. Our waitress was knowledgable of the property and its history. The prices were fair and serive were prompt. The corn muffins as well as the wheat rolls were ground at thier mill. They did not taste "processed", it had more flavor, I could swear that you could taste honey in the corn muffins, but looking at their recipe, there is not. There is a gift shop if you want to take some it home and it was reasonable in price as well.

Our thanks to those with the wisdom to preserve these sites!
We were enchanted by The Wayside Inn and its surroundings. Lovely gardens, a charming shop in an old barn, an operating Grist Mill, a red schoolhouse, and chapel... an extraordinary historic environment. Go visit! If you love American history, you will be as captivated as we were.

    Pure magic
A mere 40 minutes from Boston this place is magical. From the grist mill and chapel to the Longfellow's historic Wayside Inn, this is the perfect weekend visit or overnight at the inn. Book lunch or dinner at the inn. So many family photos taken here. Beautiful weddings. Memorable if it is a day or an event.
