Great hike, but easy to get lost
Very scenic, quiet and peaceful. However, the trail map is horrific, and we spent a very long time trying to find our way back to the parking lot. At one point, we called a friend on our cell phone to say if we weren't back in half an hour more to please call the police. I still recommend it, but don't rely on the map - REALLY watch the trail markers - which do NOT match the colors on the map!! Maybe even take photos of turn locations.

Hiking, hunting, and history
Fun hike for all. There is a graphite mine shaft here. It's not very deep and is a dead end at the beginning of the trail. A very pretty walk and plenty of rocks for the kids to climb on. During hunting season, remember to wear bright colors!!
