    a fun visit
Wonderful opportunity for my 5 year old granddaughter who loves animals to observe and ask questions. We had guided time within a goat enclosure and were able to pat the backs of the goats. We were shown a skull at the snow leopard area and learned how to look for a snow leopard sleeping way up on a high ledge. The flamingo display is colorful and so many prancing flamingoes! We liked watching the alligator in a large area by the water and seeing a black bear nestled on a ledge sleeping. We included a short stop at the well designed, safe playground area and an ice cream at a picnic bench.

    First Covid 19 Visit
I visited the Zoo on June 16th. It was my first visit since it has reopened after Covid 19. I must say the employees have done a wonderful job at keeping people safe. All walkways are once way. There are gallon bottles of hand sanitizer everywhere. Employees walk around wiping down frequently touched areas. Most people wear masks and respect the social distancing rule. Those that didn't- - just kept my own distance. I got to see most of the animals. It was a hot day, so a few were hiding. Heard the kookaburra bird for the first time. I feel comfortable enough now to visit with my 4 year old grandson. Well done, Stone Zoo!
