Intimate Venue
Last Tuesday, my wife and I went to a concert here. Cannons and Madi Sipes. This is a very small venue with no seats. It was a quick entry. We walked right up to the stage. So very intimate. There was a full bar at the back of the room.

Historic Indie Movie theatre
Somerville Theater is a century-plus old venue that began as a stage venue in addition to the new motion pictures in the early 1900s. It has been renovated and updated a number of times. It has an art deco main theater and four other small theaeres. We love that they show the wonderful indie films that the chain theaters often do not run.

Friendly and Cozy
I was caught in an unexpected downpour, so I sought refuge in this neighborhood theater. Yes, it’s old and small, but that’s part of its charm. The staff members are welcoming and friendly. The ticket price and snacks are affordable. The cinema and bathrooms are clean. Imagine, while the rest of America lined up to watch Top Gun 2 on its opening weekend in crowded theaters, I had my own private screening of this blockbuster! Minus one star though for the stale popcorn. Otherwise, a fine indoor option in inclement weather!
