Great hill for younger kids or those looking for a terrain park.
I learned to ski 35 years ago at Ward Hill and all my kids have learned there. It's only about 300ft of vertical so don't expect a mountain. The lift tickets are expensive given the size, but it's a great place for kids to learn to ski and go on their own. Getting a season pass in the summer is the best option as it's offered with a high discount. They installed a nice bar area in the lodge that allows you to see most of the hill and watch your kids from inside if you want. They have a pretty extensive terrain park with an airbag jump as well. Sunday AM and Thurs PM should be avoided as they are days the local Race Teams are there and it's extremely busy and the racers tend to be a bit oblivious of the other kids on the hill when not on course.

    Tubing with my grandson
I took my 10 yr old grandson tubing yesterday. We were there 1.5 hrs and only had time to tube down the hill 5 times because it was soooooo crowded. This was our mistake because it was a holiday weekend. The warm weather also effected the speed of our tubes. Many people tubing barely made it halfway down the hill before coming to a stop. With the right conditions this would have been a very enjoyable family time. Be sure to pack a lunch or snack. You are able to bring onsite with you. There is a snack bar, that was a little pricey and very crowded. Picnic tables are available inside and outside to use at your leisure. All it was fun, but expected to enjoy it more.
